Original Jason Ari Lehman Cast in Slasher Throwback Camp Killer

Director Shawn Jones promises to turn the slasher sub-genre on its head with Camp Killer, which he evocatively describes as Friday the 13th: Part 6 meets My Dinner With Andre. And he’s just infused some slasher star-power into the film, casting Ari Lehman in a key role.

Lehman is of course most known for playing young Jason Voorhees in the original Friday the 13th, making him the very first actor to ever appear on-screen as the slasher icon. Lehman will play Joe in Camp Killer, a bar owner who is described as an integral part in the film.

JimmyO Burril will play the sheriff of a town plagued by an unstoppable killer (J Clinton Watkins). As they meet up one last time, a pair of survivors (one played by April Monique Burril) complicate matters for the worse. Who will be left standing and what will remain of their sanity?

Sound good to you? If so, Jones needs your help. He just launched the Camp Killer Indiegogo campaign, and he’s looking to raise $10,000 to get the film in the can. Perks for donating include DVDs, t-shirts, and posters, and you can even buy a role in the film.
