Rest in Peace: David Margulies
While the name may not jump off of the screen for you, fans of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II should easily recognize the Mayor, who is sadly no longer with us.
According to Deadline, David Margulies, who played the Mayor of New York in the Ghostbusters films and Tony Soprano’s classy lawyer Neil Mink, died Monday afternoon in New York City after a long illness. The news came from his longtime agent, Mary Harden. He was 78 years old and recently finished filming his role as Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel in the upcoming ABC miniseries “Madoff” with Richard Dreyfuss, scheduled to air February 3.
We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to offer our sincerest of condolences to David’s friends, family, and constituents. May you forever find comfort in the “mass hysteria” caused by “dogs and cats living together” in Heaven, sir.
