Third CGI Resident Evil Film to Be Subtitled Vendetta; First Poster and New Details Emerge
The first two CGI Resident Evil movies sure weren’t perfect (although the second, Damnation, was still a hell of a lot more entertaining than Degeneration). But regardless of however you may feel about them, you’d better prepare yourself because we’re soon getting a third.
We reported a while ago that studio Marza Animation Planet was working on the third film, and now we have both a title and poster thanks to Dengeki Online (use Google Translate). Resident Evil: Vendetta be released next year and will yet again feature fan-favorite Leon S. Kennedy, and he’ll be riding a badass motorbike too. Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers will also be showing up.
Grudge creator Takashi Shimizu produces, while Takanori Tsujimoto, known for Monster Killer, directs.
And speaking of Resident Evil, as the series recently turned 20, producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi did a video interview to talk about how it has evolved over the years. Enjoy.
