Legendary TV Developing HP Lovecraft Series

With all the great horror on TV right now, one thing is sorely missing: a show based on the works of HP Lovecraft. But that could be changing soon as Dread Central was tipped off today that Legendary TV has been developing a television series that will not only feature characters, narratives, and locations from sixteen of the late American author’s titles (including The Dunwich Horror, The Call of Cthulhu, and The Shadow Over Innsmouth) but is also slated to be the first TV series to be officially approved by the Lovecraft Estate.

With a pilot script penned by Matthew Francis Wilson, producers Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (Transformers) and Dan McDermott are set to soon begin speaking with networks.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
