First Look at UK Thriller Community
/feb12/communitys.jpg
The UK-based psychological horror film Community is nearly wrapped and ready to get your skin crawling. The trailers look slick with some interesting characters trapped in a morbid, deadly situation. This tale of the Drayman Estate urban legend is filled with drug addiction, murderous children and scenes of brutal violence. Sounds like a Gash family reunion.
Community definitely feels like a modern, urban version of Children of the Corn. The adults are doped out of their minds, and the kids are running rampant. No word yet if one of the characters is named Malachi or not, but if one is, be sure to watch Community with the lights on. The film is written and directed by Jason Ford.
Community stars Jemma Dallender, Elliott Jordan, Paul McNeilly, Terry Bird and Oliver Stark. Take a look at the creepy trailers below, and then head over to the Community Facebook page and give them a “like”. A 2012 release is planned.
Synopsis
The Draymen Estate has become an urban legend. Amongst the sinister stories of strange locals and brutal violence, people have gone missing there. Two student filmmakers visit the estate in the hope their documentary will land them a lucrative career. Within minutes they are introduced to a skinned dog in a shallow grave.
They quickly discover that behind the awkward smiles, the adults appear to be on drugs whilst the children roam wildly, further proof that this estate is a breeding ground for the darker side of society… a society which is about to present the students with material of unimaginable horror, turning their final project into their darkest nightmare.
