Independent developer BGG Productions and its partner, BioGamer Girl, have announced the release of a full-length soundtrack for their new survival horror game Life Weaver. The soundtrack was composed by musician Amanda Dyar, and it can be purchased for a limited time for $19.99.

The full version of Life Weaver can be purchased separately for $39.99. Check out the details below!

From the Official Press Release
Life Weaver is a high-fantasy action game much like that of The Legend of Zelda created by BioGamer Girl founder Amanda Dyar.

The storyline for the game was based on Dyar’s 2005 short story
“Broken Light”. The game follows the characters of Celeste and Anthony Daniels, a married couple who find themselves on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to saving their world.

Celeste is struck down in a severe storm one night and finds herself absorbed into the beckoning light before her. She soon discovers a most horrifying plot set in motion to destroy her world, and she is reborn into the light in order to make things right. The twist to the story is that Celeste’s own husband is responsible for bringing forth the darkness onto their world through his work at Mantra Research Facility. Life Weaver takes place in a fantasy land called Herion. Life weavers are responsible for creating order and maintaining life within the land. The kingdom of the life weavers is overtaken by the darkness, and the life weavers bestow Celeste with the Pendant of Hope in order to save life as they know it.

Back at the Mantra Research Facility, Anthony and the other researchers have discovered that “The Vortex” they have created has opened a gateway to a parallel dimension. Anthony soon discovers that the holiday humans celebrate as Christmas may in fact be a day of soul collecting carried out by the Darkness.

Life Weaver is a top-down, 2D retro-style graphic game that allows you to immerse yourself into various alternate dimensions, including the North Pole, where you battle fierce creatures such as the Helfens. Helfens are demonic creatures that possess the power to distort any mortal’s mind, making them see what they want them to. These horrible beings were once elves that became so engulfed in darkness that they were cursed to walk the earth as half-elf/half-wolf creatures of the night.

For more information on the game, check out the official Life Weaver website.

Episode 267: The Legendary John Harrison and The Haunting (1963)
This week we chat with filmmaker, producer, composer, writer, author...this guy's done it all...John Harrison. From working with George Romero on everything from Creepshow and Dawn of the Dead to Tales from the Darkside to the Dune miniseries to his Netflix series Residue...he's done it all. He even directed Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was Andrew LaSane's Scarred for Life pick, which is one of Terry's favorite movies. We chat about his long history in cinema; about how he started working with Romero to some insights into Tales from the Darkside. And we discuss his latest work, the novel Residue: Paramentals Rising, which is a sequel to the Netflix show. After learning about his horror history--including a memorable viewing of Night of the Living Dead--we find out why The Haunting terrified him as a twelve year old. John references an article written by Anthony McKay in Little Shoppe of Horrors, which can be ordered here. This week we're joined by Alex Henes and Matt Merenda, the filmmakers behind the yoga-horror found footage film Mind Body Spirit, which is available on demand and streaming on Shudder and AMC+. We chat about Sarah J. Bartholomew's fantastic performance, the script and more before diving into their childhoods and their very different reactions to horror as a kid. Then we chat about The Brave Little Toaster and how it destroyed all four of our childhoods. Anthropomorphic appliances, self-cannibalism, religion...this movie has it all and we laugh our way through describing just how messed up it actually is.
