Ever since it hit our radar months ago, The Upper Footage (formerly Upper) has both confused and intrigued us. Amongst the many virals for it, we’ve seen two trailers and more but never any mention of when we could see the actual “footage”. However, that could be changing soon.

Blood Disgusting reports that Paramount Pictures is in early talks to acquire the footage rights, and given their success with the found footage sub-genre, we think that’s a fine home for the project.

The Upper Footage is the cinéma vérité aftermath around a young girl’s drug overdose. Apparently there’s an extortion plot, some kind of cover-up, etc.
