Stuart Gordon Has a Taste for the Stage Word has come that filmmakers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods have completed shooting Nightlight, a supernatural thriller told from a single perspective. So when will we be seeing it from our perspective? That’s yet to be determined. Read on for the latest!

Shelby Young, Chloe Bridges, Carter Jenkins, Mitch Hewer, and Taylor Murphy star with Herrick Entertainment producing and financing. According to the company’s website, the story goes like this:

Synopsis
Nightlight is a unique suspense thriller revolving around five teenage friends playing a game in the woods that goes awry over the course of one long night. The movie will be told from a singular point of view, employing an unusual storytelling device as a means of heightening suspense. The sixth character in the film is the woods themselves, a mysterious forest with a long history as a beacon for troubled young people contemplating suicide. The movie has elements of both suspense and horror but is rooted in real characters with genuine emotional lives and relationships.

From working with George Romero on everything from Creepshow and Dawn of the Dead to Tales from the Darkside to the Dune miniseries to his Netflix series Residue...he's done it all. He even directed Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was Andrew LaSane's Scarred for Life pick, which is one of Terry's favorite movies. We chat about his long history in cinema; about how he started working with Romero to some insights into Tales from the Darkside. And we discuss his latest work, the novel Residue: Paramentals Rising, which is a sequel to the Netflix show. After learning about his horror history--including a memorable viewing of Night of the Living Dead--we find out why The Haunting terrified him as a twelve year old.
