William Sadler Stalks Machete KillsAnother character actor has joined the ranks of Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills, and this time it’s not a hot chick! See, miracles do happen! Even in the world of violent Mexploitation movies! Read on for details.

William Sadler (The Hills Run Red, The Mist, The Shawshank Redemption) has signed up for active duty, and though his role hasn’t been revealed yet, odds are he’s playing a villain. He’s just so good at that! He joins the previously announced Charlie Sheen, Sofia Vergara, Electra and Elise Avellan, Edward James Olmos, Mel Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Demian Bichir, Zoe Saldana, and of course Danny Trejo in Robert Rodriguez’s sequel, which will be distributed by 20th Century Fox.

Machete Kills finds the titular ex-federale (Danny Trejo) recruited by the U.S. government to stop a terrorist named Mendez the Madman, who happens to be Mexico’s leading cartel dealer. Mel Gibson is set to co-star as Luther Voz, a cunning arms dealer and death merchant who aims to spread war across the planet by launching a missile.
