It’s been some time since we last heard anything about writer/director Ren Blood’s Zombie Ed, but he dropped us a line this weekend with the news that the wacky zombie comedy is out now on DVD, released by Brain Damage Films. Check out the flick’s new artwork and trailer.

Special features on the DVD include deleted scenes, zombie PSA’s, and more.

Synopsis:
Loser Ed has a lame job, a beater car, a crappy apartment, and no hope of a girlfriend. Ed doesn’t think things could get any worse for him until the day he wakes up and finds he had GONE ZOMBIE. Ed doesn’t know anything about zombies and is shocked to find that as a zombie he is good-looking, lands a modeling job, and becomes an Olympic track star. Yet, zombie Ed is unable to enjoy his new life because he is afraid loser Ed will come out and ruin everything. Things heat up for Ed when his hot zombie (and secretly vegetarian) girlfriend gets him involved in the zombie equal rights movement. Ed has a chance to make life better for zombies everywhere, but he will he risk it all to become the zombie he was meant to be?

William Cutting stars as Ed with Kelly Petering, Myles McLane, Trista Robinson, Pedro Mendoza, Melissa Bacelar, Kim Sønderholm, Marcus Proctor, Devorah Lynne Dishington, and Tom Nyman co-starring.
