With Stephen King’s own Doctor Sleep and Room 237 getting all The Shining related love lately, we’re happy to say that even more strangeness is headed our way in prequel form. Are you ready to revisit The Overlook Hotel?
Deadline is reporting that Glen Mazzara, who ran AMC’s smash hit series “The Walking Dead,” will now focus on ghosts. He’s in talks to write The Overlook Hotel, a prequel to the Stanley Kubrick-directed The Shining, based on the Stephen King novel. The film is being developed at Warner Bros. to be produced by Mythology Entertainment’s Bradley Fischer, James Vanderbilt, and Laeta Kalogridis.
There’s definitely a prequel to be told here what with such rich characters as Lloyd the bartender and of course the infamous Delbert Grady and his spooky twins. Yep, today is a good day.
