NEWS
The metal community lost a legend this past week, as Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed away as the result of liver failure. He was 49. Read the band’s brief statement here.

MUSIC
Listen to a new Black Flag song titled “Down in the Dirt” here, and grab a free download of it here. The band will release a new, 22-song album this summer via SST Records.

Listen to a new Palms song titled “Patagonia” here. The band features Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno and former members of Isis. Their self-titled debut album comes out on June 25th via Ipecac.
