Nether Gets Full Release and New TrailerGuns, the twisted mutant dead, and dancing. If you are a fan of any of the aforementioned, then today is your Woodstock because Nether has received a full release on Steam. Graduating from early access, the game is now fully available for $14.99.

The news was accompanied with a brand new trailer showcasing the game’s combat… and dancing.

In celebration of the occasion, Phosphor Games announced via press release that:

All players logging in after today will receive a potion that grants the ability to play as a nether and golden chest keys to open rare loot boxes that contain valuable survival items. Additionally, all guest keys have been replenished, and players will earn one Gold coin for each key that is redeemed.

The first-person survival game pits players against the mutated nethers and each other as they scavenge to survive in a post-apocalyptic Chicago. Players can utilize the tribe system found in Nether and battle for territory and protect safe zones from invading nethers as well as completing missions as a group or individually.

The support and consultation with the game’s enthusiastic fan base is what has driven Nether to its full release. As Chip Sineni, creative director at Phosphor Games relates, “We’ve continually worked with our rabid community to drive the development of all the features that make Nether a survival gaming experience unlike any other.”

Developers stress the strategic element to Nether’s gameplay, accentuating that surviving any length of time in the game requires tactical gameplay, awareness, stealth, and cooperation.

Synopsis:
Nether is a first-person urban survival gaming experience unlike any other. Nether forces players to make quick life-saving decisions in an unforgiving environment. In this post-apocalyptic urban world, death is waiting around every corner, at the top of high-rise buildings, and in the grasp of powerful teleporting creatures known as nethers.

To navigate this high-tension environment, players must use skill and cunning in order to obtain food, weapons, supplies, and other resources necessary to survive in a desolate and dangerous city. Players will need to choose whether to team up with others or go at it solo against the nethers, other players, and unpredictable, treacherous world objectives. In the end, players must decide if they will Prey or Pray.

Episode 266: Opus Writer/Director Mark Anthony Green and Michael Jackson's Thriller (1983)
This week we were unbelievably excited to chat with writer and director Mark Anthony Green! We talk about his feature film debut Opus, working with musical icons The-Dream and Nile Rodgers, Ayo Edebiri's star power and the eccentricities (and graciousness) of John Malkovich. Mark Anthony shares a fantastic story of John on set and so much more before we dig a bit into his horror history and find out why Michael Jackson's Thriller music video scared him as a kid. A shorter episode this week, but easily one of our favorite conversations in a long while. Don't miss it. And go see Opus in theaters!Follow Mary Beth, Terry and the Podcast on Bluesky.
