CD Projekt Red Debuts New Witcher 3 Gameplay TrailerJust when the audience was breathing hot and heavy at the burden of ecstasy that was the Microsoft press conference at this year’s E3, the team behind The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt took the stage.

The definite peak in the excitement was for the purpose of debuting a new gameplay trailer from their upcoming title, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, which showed off the game’s protagonist, Geralt, on a hunt for a griffon.

We saw some of Geralt’s special abilities as he was able to heighten his senses to locate his prey. In a very promising next-gen touch, after being hit with a crossbow bolt, the Griffon retreated but left a trail of blood which the player can use to track it. Aside from showing gamers that this will be a true next-gen experience, any excuse to make a game bloodier is a good one.

A very promising feature of the trailer was the realistic combat. I noticed how, during a brief skirmish with enemies, they were stunned and stumbled after each blow by Geralt’s heavy bastard sword… a bastard indeed.

The press conference was a showcase of amazing graphics, and Microsoft really appears to be pushing the pace in regard to this field. In a show of graphic ultra fidelity, The Witcher 3 stood out amongst all other titles. Look for this game to quickly be awarded greatest graphics of all time!
