If you’re a fan of Syfy’s “Eureka” and “Haven” and also watch The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” then you’re about to see a familiar face arrive in Mystic Falls for “TVD” Season 6. Read on for the details of who will be playing militia leader Tripp.
Per THR, Colin Ferguson, best known for portraying Sheriff Jack Carter in “Eureka,” will play Tripp, a character described as “handsome, strong, and disciplined.” He will first appear in the October 2nd season premiere.
Tripp is the head of a community militia and surrogate father to his young trainees, who will do anything to protect his town. According to “The Vampire Diaries” exec producer Julie Plec, he will “give Sheriff Forbes a run for her money.” See her tweet along with Ferguson’s announcing the news below.
Returning in Season 6 as regulars are Matt Davis (Alaric) and Michael Malarkey (Enzo). We learned previously there will be a substantial time jump when the show resumes in the fall, and we’ll have more for you during San Diego Comic-Con, where the “TVD” powers-that-be will no doubt reveal a few hints of what’s ahead.
For more info in the meantime, visit “The Vampire Diaries” on CWTV.com, “like” “The Vampire Diaries” on Facebook, and follow “The Vampire Diaries” on Twitter.
