Sundance 2015: Z for Zachariah Nabbed by Lionsgate

Though it hasn’t even played at Sundance yet, Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have announced that they will release Craig Zobel’s Z for Zachariah. According to The Wrap Lionsgate has actually had the project for some time, though the company only recently decided on its release plans.

Margot Robbie, Chris Pine, and Chiwetel Ejiofor star.

The thriller will open in limited theaters and VOD before getting a home video release through Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

Synopsis:
In a post-apocalyptic world, a young woman who believes she is the last human on Earth meets a dying scientist searching for survivors. Their relationship becomes tenuous when another survivor appears. As the two men compete for the woman’s affection, their primal urges begin to reveal their true nature.
