The Brothers Grimm Headed to the Small Screen

A television series based upon the Terry Gilliam film The Brothers Grimm is in the works, and we have all the available fairy details for you right here. See what I did there? Huzzah.

According to The Playlist Miramax has announced they’ve hired Ehren Kruger – who penned Gilliam’s film as well as other “notable” works like the last three Transformers movies – to create a TV series that will build off the origin story introduced in his screenplay for “Grimm.”

This new take will follow the swashbuckling adventures of brothers Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm, who discover startling mythological and supernatural stakes behind the folklore that swept 19th century Europe. Woo! As Gilliam’s fans know, he famously clashed with the Brothers Weinstein during production, resulting in the firing of his cinematographer among other things.
