More Casting/Details on Pearblossom!

Over the weekend we got dropped a line from director Ron Carlson about his latest feature, Pearblossom, which we first told you about right here.
You’ll recall from that article that one half of the Crazy Babysitter Twins, Electra Avellan, has taken a lead role in the film, but Carlson let us know about a slew of others who are signed and/or in talks. Sophie Monk (pictured, who graces the cover of this month’s Stuff Magazine), Angela Lindvall (Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang), Charles Napier (Maniac Cop 2, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls), Danny Woodburn (Employee of the Month) and Patrick Renna (Dark Ride) are all on the block for the horror film.
Still confused about the name, Carlson let us in on some more of the plot; “The film is about a lesbian couple that departs a New Years Eve party in 1968 and meets the creator of the universe while driving the Pearblossom Hwy. It is there where they are put to rest for 40 years and wake New Years Day, 2009. It is about they’re first 24 hours of survival as these reborn creatures.”
I’m still not sure what this has to do with devouring evil, as the original story we did mentioned, but we’ll be sure to let you know more as soon as we do!
