See Thirst with Park Chan-Wook in the UK
Are you a member of the unlucky group whose home town didn’t get a screening of Park Chan-wook’s Thirst? Do you feel like, for whatever reason, you’re just destined not to see the film? Or maybe you have seen it and are full of questions for its creator. In either case, a new contest from Palisades Tartan might be just what the priest prayed for … or something like that.
Palisades Tartan is offering US, UK, and Republic of Ireland residents a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet director Park Chan-wook in person, have their picture taken with the celebrated filmmaker, and attend the London premiere of Thirst.
“We love the films we distribute and know the fans do, too. We had always planned on throwing a contest to promote our new website but wanted to create something really special and unique,” said Kevin Burns, President and CEO of Palisades Tartan. “This contest is the perfect way for us to thank fans who have really embraced the Asia Extreme genre and shown such strong support to our filmmakers like Mr. Park.”
Palisades Tartan will pay for the lucky winner and his/her guest to travel to London to attend the premiere, which will be hosted by PT’s theatrical partners, Metrodome Distribution, at the Curzon Soho on Monday, October 5th, 2009. Once the winning couple arrive, a personal driver will be waiting to chauffeur them to a beautiful hotel located in the center of London. Park Chan-wook will be at the premiere and will join the winners for lunch the following day. Meals will also be covered (just don’t expect live octopus on any of the menus).
The contest will run just shy of two weeks from Friday, September 11th, through Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 (it ends at midnight ET) and is open to residents of the US, the UK, and the Republic of Ireland. No purchase is necessary. Visit Palisades Tartan’s official site for the complete rules and regulations.
