Jennifer Tilly’s 8 Best Moments From The ‘Chucky’ Series
Everyone’s favorite murderous doll returns tonight for a third season. While we’re all on pins and needles to see what this year of Chucky brings us, we know that a huge part of that excitement is the Jennifer Tilly Effect. The franchise was killing it before she made her appearance as Tiffany Valentine in 1998’s Bride Of Chucky. However, the shift from one killer toy to two really drove home the idea of the more the merrier. I don’t think most of us knew how much we needed to see this stylish, funny, talented, gorgeous, and brilliant lady put her whole stiletto into this beloved world until she did.
The icon not only helped make the Child’s Play series more fun but also gave us another wicked woman slasher to get out of bed for in the morning. Eat your heart out, Barbie! So, while we’re all planning on tuning in, it felt appropriate to look back at some of Jennifer Tilly’s greatest moments from the first two seasons of the hit show.
8. Season 1, Episode 5: Little Little Lies
We had all been waiting for Tiffany and Nica/Chucky to resurface and were at the end of our wits end by the midpoint of the season. So, imagine our delight when these two rolled into the scene wearing their finest lingerie and making out in front of a new hostage. Mother returned and evil lived that night!
7. Season 2, Episode 2: The Sinners Are Much More Fun
Because Jennifer The Tilly is playing Tiffany Valentine masquerading as Jennifer Tilly, the meta references always send us into orbit. So, watching Tiff watch Jennifer do her infamous scene from Liar Liar was almost too much for us to handle. While Nica might not have enjoyed this moment because she was her hostage, after all, we almost killed Twitter that night.
6. Season 1, Episode 7: Twice the Grieving, Double the Loss
Only someone who looks like Jennifer Tilly could pull up at a woman’s funeral, looking like she just left a runway to make out with the recent widower in front of the kids. Personally, I would’ve been upset if her plans didn’t include kissing the closest person who looks like Devon Sawa. This is the boss bitch energy we need to be modeling for the children. They are welcome!
5. Season 2, Episode 5: Doll On Doll
Tiffany Tilly is spiraling out of control and is being driven up a wall by Jennifer Tilly in Tiffany Doll’s body. Unfortunately, Jennifer’s sister, Meg Tilly, was in the wrong place at the wrong time and caught a case of slashed throat syndrome. When we thought this scene had given us everything it possibly could, it then goes full Mommie Dearest, and the Tillster gives us the “No more chocolate” line that almost took me to meet the same maker Meg was in line for.
4. Season 2, Episode 2: The Sinners Are Much More Fun
Chucky is always giving us references and easter eggs. However, reintroducing us to our favorite toxic couple on TV with such What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? energy was delightful. See J. Tilly cycle through the sleepwear that we can 100% imagine Tiffany spending her money on was priceless as well.
3. Season 2, Episode 8: Chucky Actually
We all call Jennifer Tilly mother, but we’re not always so sure about Tiff. However, seeing her come through for her child, who is now a doll again, was too sweet for words. We were all happy to meet GG and equally happy that they have a mom so supportive that she’s willing to take them to the post office even when she’s on the lam.
2. Season 1, Episode 8: An Affair To Dismember
We have seen Chucky and Tiffany kill each other a few times now. While it never gets old, we were all excited to see Tiffany be able to use Jennifer’s body to give that Good Guy the business end of a knife. I felt like Junior at that moment, as we watched her behead her formerly beloved in a fit of rage.
1. Season 2, Episode 4: Death on Denial
Everything Jennifer Tilly does in this episode is magic. If I were in charge of an award show, I would’ve canceled the production and just sent her the statue. If anyone questioned me, I would’ve told them to watch Chucky and ask that again after this episode. This television event proves the Tilly Master General is playing chess when most other actors are playing checkers. Also, this episode gets double the cool points for the Bound reunion during the whodunnit, leading to a great escape. Jennifer Thee Tilly got to do it all in this hour. We don’t deserve her, but I’m happy she refuses to stop delivering anyway.
Chucky returns Wednesday, October 4 at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT on USA and SYFY. Each episode will stream the following day on Peacock.
