Sure, Skullgirls (review here) may leave your ego bruised and battered after a few losses, but nothing picks you back up again like the game’s snazzy soundtrack.
Autumn Games will give fans worldwide a chance to listen to the great music from Michiru Yamane and other talented artists outside of the Skullgirls game with the official Skullgirls soundtrack. Read on for more details and find out how you can get your own copy!
From the Official Press Release
The Skullgirls Original Soundtrack features music by distinguished game composer Michiru Yamane (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Suikoden III and IV) and marks the first time a Japanese composer has anchored the soundtrack for a U.S.-developed game. Yamane is joined by Reverge Labs’ audio director, award-winning game composer Vincent Diamante (Flower), as well as composers Blaine McGurty (Retro Remix Review) and Brenton Kossak.
Skullgirls puts players in control of eight female warriors in an extraordinary “Dark Deco” world, where they battle for control of a mysterious artifact known as the Skull Heart. Legend says it has the power to grant a woman’s wish, but those judged impure will have their wish twisted and be transformed into the new Skullgirl! The Skullgirls team is led by renowned fighting game champion Mike “Mike Z” Zaimont and artist Alex “o_8” Ahad, whose work has been featured in many publications, including Lava Punch and Girls of Gaming.
The official Skullgirls Soundtrack can be purchased through the iTunes Store and CDBaby for $9.99.
