Watch the interview with Kiernan Shipka now:

Treat is the first podcast movie from the C13Features podcast movie studio. It tells the tale of a seemingly perfect American town that makes a deal with a mysterious outsider possessing supernatural powers to help it recover from social turmoil. When the town falls behind on its payments, a trio of teenagers must unlock the secret of his powers.

Shirley Jackson Award winner Nathan Ballingrud wrote Treat.

Shipka plays the protagonist and narrator Allie West. She’s a regular teen who is forced to fight for her life to make amends for her town’s shameful past. Treat has hints of Joe Hill’s NOS4A2 and is a must-listen for any horror fan.

The audio horror movie premieres globally today as a Halloween week worldwide release and is available on all podcast platforms.

Along with Shipka, the cast of Treat includes David Shih, Noah Robbins, Marc Menchaca, Kyle Beltran, Peggy J. Scott, and Christa Scott-Reed. Treat also stars Ryan Buggle, Sara Echeagaray, Bill Lobley, and Renata Friedman, with Marin Ireland and Wayne Knight in featured roles.

After filling the role of Sabrina Spellman in Netflix’s sinister adaptation Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Shipka has become a modern horror icon for the books.

Are you as big of a fan of Kiernan as we are? Then you’re bound to love Treat; it’s a truly terrifying audio horror movie guaranteed to get you into your spooky Halloween feels.

Treat is out today, so make sure to download it wherever you get your podcasts.
