‘The Mortuary Assistant’ Developer Shares How He Constructs His Terrifyingly Good Scares [Watch]
The Mortuary Assistant, the newest game from DreadXP, is scary as hell. You play as a mortician who’s just trying to get their embalming tasks done. But, the demons and ghosts that haunt the morgue have other plans. Developer Brian Clarke has been working on this game for over two years and wanted to make something downright terrifying. What at first seems to be a job simulator morphs into a terrifying experience that’s bound to make you shriek in fear.
Dread Central spoke with Clarke about crafting the scares in his new game, what actual morticians think about the game, and more.
