Kyle Gallner Talks ‘Smile’, ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’, And More
Kyle Gallner is a modern Scream King. From A Haunting In Connecticut from 2009 to starring in both Scream (2022) and Smile, Gallner is an integral part of the contemporary horror genre. Plus, remember when Jennifer devours him in Jennifer’s Body? Iconic. But his two starring roles in two 2022 horror juggernauts have solidified him as a genre staple, especially in his turn as Joel in Smile.
In the new terrifying film, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) must face a terrifying entity after witnessing a traumatic event at work. Joel, a cop and her ex-boyfriend, tries to help Rose figure out the mystery behind what’s happening to her. Plus, he’s the only one that doesn’t think she’s totally crazy.
Dread Central spoke with Gallner about Smile, his horror career, and the potential of him making his own horror movies.
