‘Monolith’ Star Lily Sullivan On Her New Chilling Horror Film: “I was terrified!”
Director Matt Veseley tackles the world of podcasting in his new horror film Monolith. Faced with very specific budget constraints, he aimed to create a single-location, single-actor piece of sci-fi horror like something out of The X-Files. And his star was none other than Lily Sullivan, who ripped her way into our hearts in last year’s Evil Dead Rise.
In Monolith:
While trying to salvage her career, a disgraced journalist begins investigating a strange conspiracy theory. But as the trail leads uncomfortably close to home, she is left to grapple with the lies at the heart of her own story.
Dread Central spoke with Sullivan and Vesely about the difficulties of audio-based horror, the isolation of the film, and more.
