‘Mr. Crocket’ Star Elvis Nolasco Explains How He Shaped His Diabolical Character [Watch]
Brandon Espy‘s new film Mr. Crocket is a delightfully demented horror film about a demented children’s show host (played by Elvis Nolasco) and his quest to save children from bad parents. Set in the 90s, it’s an analog nightmare not only about childhood, but about the horrors and anxiety of parenthood. Plus, it includes some damn scary puppets.
In the film:
In 1993, a mysterious children’s show host, Mr. Crocket, magically emerges from television sets to kidnap young children, brutally slaying their parents in the process. After Mr. Crocket snatches her son, one determined mother embarks on a perilous quest to track down the demonic entertainer and rescue her boy.
We spoke with Espy and star Nolasco about the film’s catchy music, how Nolasco shaped Mr. Crocket’s look, and why Espy wanted to make a horror film set in the 90s.
