‘Crust’ Director Sean Whalen and Star Rebekah Kennedy On Making A Film About A Sock Monster
After decades of appearing in front of the camera in films such as The People Under The Stairs and Twister, actor Sean Whalen is stepping behind the camera to direct his first feature film Crust. But don’t worry, he also stars in the film alongside Rebekah Kennedy, who has stunned in films such as Two Witches and The Veil. But Crust isn’t your typical horror movie. Sure, there’s a monster, but he’s made out of dirty socks and just wants to be helpful!

A depressed has-been child actor and owner of a dingy laundromat, becomes powerfully vengeful when his collection of lone socks transforms into a protective, cute, murderous monster named Crust.
We spoke with Whalen and Kennedy about collaborating together on this quirky horror film, getting to play different roles, and why a sock monster is just so damn lovable.
