#SDCC15: NECA Lets Amanda Ripley Out of Isolation
As you can tell from our extensive coverage at Dread Central, there are a ton of new figures making their debut at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. For those of us who are sitting at home while thousands of people hit up one of the world’s largest entertainment conventions, we have to live vicariously through updates such as this. I feel your pain, boys and girls. I truly do.
One of the coolest announcements comes from NECA, a company devoted to bringing some of the niftiest figures to retail shelves. Their latest offering comes in the form of characters from the atmospheric video game Aliens: Isolation. In addition to a Xenomorph with a bendable tail, you also get two versions of Amanda Ripley, also known as Ellen Ripley’s badass daughter.
From the Press Release:
The assortment includes two versions of Amanda (one in a jumpsuit and one in a spacesuit) and the Isolation Xenomorph. Amanda Ripley (Jumpsuit) comes with motion detector, flamethrower and backpack accessories. Amanda Ripley (Torrens Spacesuit) features a removable helmet and comes with a handgun accessory. The Isolation Xenomorph features a bendable tail. Figures range from 7″ to 10″ tall. Each is highly articulated and entirely authentic to the video game.
