From the Press Release:
Epic Pictures Group announced today the expansion of the TURBO KID merchandising line with new latex masks based on characters from the film which will be produced by Ghoulish Productions and available in time for Halloween 2017. The announcement was made today in conjunction with the San Diego Comic-Con by Epic Pictures CEO Patrick Ewald and Co-Founder Shaked Berenson.

“TURBO KID really connected with an audience in a profound way, and there are legions of fans out there,” commented Berenson. “It’s fitting that this dystopian story, following its successful film festival and theatrical runs and now enjoying its home entertainment life, will be a costume of choice for Halloween revelers,” commented Ewald.

Ghoulish Productions CEO Diego Esponda commented, “We are looking forward to bringing the characters to life and support the already extensive cosplay here at Comic-Con.

Following its world premiere at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, the film won a series of awards, including an Audience Award at 2015’s SXSW Film Festival, the Audience Award at the 2015 Fantasia International Film Festival, and the Best Feature Audience Award at Fantaspoa 2015, and was recently honored at The Saturn Awards. The film was released in August 2015 by Epic Pictures Releasing, Epic Pictures Group’s U.S. distribution division, and is currently available on DVD and Blu-Ray.

TURBO KID follows “The Kid” (Munro Chambers), an orphan left to survive on his own through drought-ridden nuclear winter, traversing the Wasteland on his BMX, scavenging for scraps to trade for a scant supply of water in a 1997, ruined post-apocalyptic world. When his perpetually chipper, pink-haired new best friend Apple (Laurence Leboeuf) is kidnapped by a minion of evil overlord Zeus (Michael Ironside), The Kid summons the courage of his comic book hero and prepares to deliver turbocharged justice to Zeus, his buzzsaw-handed sidekick Skeletron, and their vicious masked army.
