Own the Ultimate Friday the 13th Collectible: Mrs. Voorhees’ Head!

If I could ever hope to own anything screen-used from the Friday the 13th franchise, it would no doubt be the head of Pamela Voorhees as it appeared at the end of Friday the 13th Part 2. Guess what? I, like many of you, may just be getting the chance!

The original Carl Fullerton-created prop is owned by the gentleman who runs the Jason Lives Since 1980 Friday the 13th Blog. How did he get it? That’s a story in and of itself, and you can catch up on it here.

Long story short, the infamous head was left with Connecticut resident Lloyd Albin, who owned Camp Kenmont in Kent, CT, where the movie was filmed. Years later, it and other props ended up on (where else?) eBay. Once procured, the prop was described as being in “rough shape.” The new owner of this prop had Tom Spina restore it, and as you can see, he’s done a stellar job.

Recently the owner of the Jason Lives Since 1980 Friday the 13th Blog announced that “3D prints of the original Mrs. Voorhees prop are coming.” Keep your eye on the website for more details as they become available. Lord knows we will.

Thanks to Bloody Disgusting for the heads up.
