Tales from the Darkside Reboot May Still See the Light of Day

The CW may have passed on a revamped version of the 80’s horror anthology series “Tales from the Darkside,” but a slew of potential cable and digital outlets might be willing to take a walk on the dark side.

While the “Tales from the Darkside” reboot written by author Joe Hill (Horns, Locke & Key) and produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (part of the team behind “Sleepy Hollow”) may not have been picked up to series by The CW Network, the show may get a second shot at Syfy, MTV, VH1, or possibly even Hulu.

According to Deadline, none of these outlets has actually seen the pilot yet, which by all accounts was passed on by The CW due to concerns over the show’s anthology format. Seeing as how The CW is slowly transforming into “The DC Comics Channel,” perhaps the series should have been marketed as “Tales from the Darkseid.”

Whether anything comes of their curiosity remains to be seen (much like the pilot). Just keep one thing in mind: The Darkside is always there, waiting for us to enter – waiting to enter us. Until next time, try to enjoy the daylight.
