Black Devil Doll Gets Theatrical Run Before DVD Release
Word came out today from the Black Devil Doll camp that the movie will be hitting some theatres before it makes its DVD debut later in the year. Need to know when?
“In order for us to secure a better distribution deal here in the US, we have decided to run Black Devil Doll theatrically for a few months before the DVD release, says Hella Shawn via the official Rotten Cotton MySpace page. “So unfortunately you will need to wait a bit longer for the DVD, but you will now have the chance to see it on the big screen! We are busy booking Black Devil Doll in theaters in several major US cities and soon will have all the dates posted on the official Black Devil Doll website.”
The theatrical run is planned for April through June of this year with a DVD release to follow shortly afterward.
“So far we are working on screenings in Portland, Oregon; Chandler, Arizona; New York; New Jersey; Northern Liberties in Philadelphia; and the world premier will be at The New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles on April 17th,” Shawn continues. “It’s the same weekend as the Fangoria Convention and about a 10- to 15-minute cab ride away. The New Beverly screening will feature the cast and crew, and we will be filming there for a DVD extra! We will have full details on all our screenings soon.”
If you have a theatre in your area equipped with digital projection and would like to see Black Devil Doll play there, shoot Shawn an EMAIL HERE, and he’ll be sure to contact the owners.
