Scare Campaign Brings the Terror to Virtual Reality
100 Bloody Acres directors Colin and Cameron Cairnes are prepping the release of their upcoming horror flick Scare Campaign. Instead of splicing together a typical teaser and uploading the clip to YouTube, the filmmakers are releasing something a little different. If you’re into virtual reality, you’re definitely in for a treat. Assuming, of course, that you can handle the terror.
Folks who are excited about the movie will soon be able to download the Scare Campaign VR Experience, which features The Visit actress Olivia DeJonge. If you happen to have some virtual reality equipment lying around the house, you can experience the horror first-hand. Judging from the reaction video below, the filmmakers have used the technology to its full potential.
For those who haven’t heard of the movie, here’s a handy synopsis.
Popular prank TV show “Scare Campaign” has been entertaining audiences for the last five years with its mix of old school scares and hidden camera fun. But as we enter a new age of online TV, the producers find themselves up against a new hard-edged web series which makes their show look decidedly quaint. It’s time to up the ante, but will the team go too far this time, and are they about to prank the wrong guy?
While you’re waiting for the VR Experience to officially hit the internet and scare the bejesus out of you, have a look at the Scare Campaign reaction video below.
