BBC America Announces New Genre Shows
Those of you out there with cable (pretty much everyone but my wife and me) will be happy to hear about not one or two, but three cool British shows making their way to BBC America later this year.
”Being Human”, “Survivors”, and the return of “Primeval” will all be appearing on the US counterpart to the UK’s main broadcasting entity, and each promises something cool for genre fans. “Being Human” we’ve told you about before; it’s the story of a vampire, werewolf, and ghost who all live in the same apartment and how they deal with both the issues of normal twenty-somethings and being supernatural creatures.
“Survivors” is a post-apocalyptic story following the last remnants of humanity struggling to rebuild society after a virus wiped out 99% of the world’s population. “Primeval” takes place in the here and now, only the here and now is overrun by animals thought to have gone extinct years ago, dinosaurs chief among them.
Keep an eye on BBC America for actual premiere dates for all three shows!
