Screambox Promises to Be Your Netflix Horror Alternative

Horror fanatics, rejoice: A horror-specific streaming service has promised to be your Netflix alternative.

Screambox is an unlimited, advertisement-free streaming service that caters to scary movie junkies. For $3.99 per month subscribers have access to over 350 horror movies and television shows. They boast that number will double by fall.

Launched in September 2014, Screambox aims to “delight and satisfy fans, addicts, and die-hard enthusiasts.” They hope to stand out from the streaming service crowd by providing behind-the-scenes features, documentaries, interviews, trailers, and premium user-generated content.

Screambox uses options like public playlists, user profiles, and the ability to interact with other members to create a horror-themed community, providing original content for the non-traditional movie nerd.

Users can access Screambox by Roku, Amazon Fire, iPad, Android devices, Samsung Connected TV devices, and the web. They will also be available on Xbox this summer and Sony PlayStation by Halloween.
