I don’t know what it is about this world… Vincenzo Natali (Cube, Slice, Haunter) once had a Swamp Thing film cooking, but it was never to be. Why can’t we have nice things?!? In any event Natali took to his Twitter account to share four pages.
The film was announced in 2010, but it never took off. According to SuperHeroHype:
“Natali’s script [was] almost a direct adaptation of writer Alan Moore’s first issue of his celebrated work on the character, with the descriptions nearly matching the cover and panels from “The Saga of the Swamp Thing” #20. The inclusion of General Sunderland further signifies the influence from the seminal arc on the script and the final page Natali posted seemingly leads into the events of Moore’s “The Anatomy Lesson,” an issue detailing the autopsy of the Swamp Thing which is often cited as among the best of Moore’s work with the character.”
