Craven & Iliadis to Re-team for Before the Fall Redux?
Though no one over here has heard much about him, Wes Craven is certainly a fan of Last House on the Left remake helmer Dennis Iliadis. While attending the film’s premiere the other night, the Bloody Disgusting boys got wind of a new project the duo are ramping up, a remake of the Spanish film Before the Fall.
“I would work with Dennis [Iliadis] again in a heartbeat,” Craven said. ”We’re talking to him about doing some projects. There’s a film that he’s very intrigued by called Before the Fall; [it’s] a Spanish film. It’s definitely a genre film, the world’s ending and there are asteroids coming through the atmosphere and people are starting to riot in the cities. It takes place in Spain.”
One official synopsis I found paints an intriguing picture: Set 72 hours before the end of the world, [it] follows the choices of the characters in this extreme situation: Will they spend their remaining time with their loved ones or use it to fulfill their desires for revenge?
Craven and Iliadis are looking for a home for the redux, which I’m sure they’ll find soon. It’s not like they’re trying to do something original or anything…
