Brothers Use Horror Movie Icons to Recreate Blair Witch
Kept away from public interactions, six brothers used movies as a way of interpreting and experiencing the outside world.
Crystal Moselle’s The Wolfpack became a hot commodity at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, earning critical acclaim and winning the Grand Jury Prize in the U.S. Documentary Competition. The film is a non-fiction look at the six Angulo brothers, who turned to movies and filmmaking to experience life after their father, a Peruvian immigrant, Hare Krishna extremist, and borderline-alcoholic chauvinist, kept them locked in the family’s Lower East Side apartment in New York City.
While non-Sundance attendees will have to wait until later this year for Magnolia Pictures to distribute the documentary, curious cinephiles can get a sneak peek at what all the fuss is about courtesy of four new video “thank you notes” directed by and starring the Angulo brothers.
Take a look at the thank you videos, and pay special attention to the killer feature all horror fans are excited for.
