We don’t know if you’ve looked at the calendar lately, but Halloween is a mere four and a half months away. And what?! You haven’t picked out your costume yet? Check out Alex Weight’s short film Prank to get yourself in the Halloween spirit.

With films from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome to Happy Feet on his resume, writer/director Weight brings a ton of experience heading up Prank. The film stars Jesse Hyde, Karl Beattie, and Benson Anthony as teenagers with a most nefarious, albeit justified, Halloween prank up their sleeves. Jeremy Shadlow and Michelle Collins are also featured.

Check out Prank in its entirety below, and if you dig it, be sure to “like” Prank on Facebook.

From the Press Release
With its writer/director Alex Weight already in talks to develop it into a feature film, Prank is a home-grown, self-funded independent short that was named Runner Up People’s Choice Award at the Sydney Underground Festival in September 2014 and has screened at festivals all over the world, including Shriekfest in Los Angeles, the NYC Horror Film Festival, Melbourne’s Monsterfest, Knoxville Horror Film Festival, and most recently Cannes Underground Film Festival.

“After being on the festival circuit for a year, I’m very excited to be releasing Prank online,” said Weight. “It has had a great run locally and internationally, but now it’s time to concentrate on the bigger picture and pursue a feature film based on the Prank concept.

On Prank Weight was joined by producer Aaron Bush of Buff Productions and line producer Olga Kuzovina.
