Army of Darkness, Tales from the Crypt’s Demon Knight and Bordello of Blood Leak out of the Scream Factory
Seems a surprise Scream Factory had intended for the near future became today thanks to an internet leak. Better save some money this October because two Tales from the Crypt flicks and Army of Darkness are getting the Collector’s Edition treatment.
Looks like Scream Factory has made a deal with Universal and due to this info leaking out Scream Factory went ahead and announced three big titles on Facebook this evening.
Ernest Dickerson’s Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight with Jada Pinkett Smith, William Sadler, Dick Miller, Thomas Haden Church, and CCH Pounder being stalked by demonic Billy Zane, and Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood, with Dennis Miller, Erika Eleniak, Chris Sarandon, and Corey Feldman contending with vampiress Angie Everhart and her New Orleans brothel of vampires, will be getting the Scream Factory Collector’s Edition treatment on 10/20.
Then there’s the matter of Army of Darkness, a film that seems to be nearing Guinness Book of World Records status with the sheer number of re-releases it has experienced. Scream Factory is promising what they intend to be the definitive version to date.
No specs yet on any of the three yet given that their hands were kind of forced into revealing all three before they were ready. Expect that to come later this summer, early Fall.
Will be most interesting to see what other titles from the Universal vault Scream Factory unveils in the future. I can’t be the only one hoping this means Tremors will finally be getting a proper special edition Blu-ray.
