Turbo Kid Unleashes a Ridiculously Bloody New Trailer
There are a lot of movies I want to see this year, but François Simard, Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell’s ridiculously over-the-top post-apocalyptic action flick Turbo Kid resides near the very top. Quite a few lucky guys and gals had an opportunity to see the movie during its festival run, which makes me more than a little jealous. However, there is a solution on the horizon for the rest of us.
Turbo Kid, which stars Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, and Michael Ironside (sporting a pretty wicked eye patch, no less), is slated to hit a few theaters and VOD this August. To help get you impossibly excited about the film, have a glance at this handy synopsis.
In a post-apocalyptic future, THE KID, a young solitary scavenger obsessed with comic books must face his fears and become a reluctant hero when he meets a mysterious girl named APPLE. Despite their efforts to keep to themselves, ZEUS, the sadistic and self-proclaimed leader of the Wasteland, plagues THE KID and APPLE. Armed with little more than blind faith and an ancient turbocharged weapon, THE KID learns of justice and friendship and embarks on an incredible journey to rid the Wasteland of evil and save the girl of his dreams.
