Indie Thriller K-Shop Serves Up a Short Trailer
What happens when a kebab shop owner decides to deal with the drunken, unruly customers who contributed to his father’s untimely demise? He puts them on the menu, of course. Writer/director Dan Pringle explores this scenario in the upcoming thriller K-Shop, a film that probably won’t settle too well on the stomachs of those who gag at the very thought of cannibalism.
K-Shop follows the adventures of Salah, a kebab shop owner who is more than a little tired of dealing with the drunks who plague his shop every night. Instead of letting the police handle the problem, he sets out to rid the city of the goons who are causing him grief. And when it comes to hiding the bodies, let’s just say that he doesn’t let all that tasty meat go to waste.
The film serves as Dan Pringle’s first full-length feature. However, he’s also responsible for producing writer/director Suki Singh’s thoroughly enjoyable and highly overlooked masterpiece Emulsion, which stars “Outlander” heartthrob Sam Heughan. Seriously, folks – it’s good stuff.
K-Shop, which stars Ziad Abaza, Scot Williams, Darren Morfitt, Reece Noi, and Kristin Atherton, doesn’t have a release date as of this writing. While you’re waiting for that info to arrive, check out the trailer embedded below. Furthermore, give Emulsion a look.
