Trailer for Ramen Hui’s Monster Hunt Is Delightfully Strange
Not every monster movie has to contain truckloads of blood and guts, right? If you don’t mind delving into the lighter side of the creature feature genre, then director Ramen Hui’s Monster Hunt might appeal to your kid-friendly sensibilities. Even if you think the flick looks like a complete and utter waste of your precious time, you can’t deny its oddball nature. It’s pretty zany.
For those wondering about the amount of zaniness featured in Monster Hunter, consider this: A guy gives birth to something that looks like an oversized turnip. According to Twitch, it’s also the most expensive flick Edko Films (House of Flying Daggers) has ever produced. Not only is it zany, it’s zany and expensive. That’s always a winning combination in my book.
This is usually the point where I bore you with a synopsis, but you know what — the trailer speaks for itself. I’m not sure when the flick will debut Stateside, but I’ll be all over it as soon as it arrives.
