Scream Factory to Release Wes Craven’s Serpent and the Rainbow on Blu-ray Next Year
The good folks at Scream Factory are planning to release director Wes Craven’s creepy voodoo horror flick The Serpent and the Rainbow on Blu-ray in the very near future. Unfortunately for fans who were hoping to score a high-definition version of the flick before the year is up, the distributor hit some speedbumps that will ultimately delay the release until sometime next year. However, these hiccups should make the package that much stronger.
According to a post on the Scream Factory Facebook page, the Blu-ray edition of Serpent has been pushed back to an undisclosed date in 2016. The company is reportedly “accommodating important talent we have approached for bonus materials.” In other words, they’re making the Blu-ray release much more enticing to fans. Sounds like it will be worth the wait.
To help ease the pain of this delay, Scream Factory unveiled the artwork for The Serpent and the Rainbow, which was crafted by artist Joel Robinson. Have a look at the Blu-ray cover below. When we hear anything about a release date, we’ll definitely let you know.
