We haven’t heard much from our readers about Syfy’s “Bitten,” but obviously several of you guys are watching because the series has been renewed for a third season.  And not only that, but star Laura Vandervoort is making a special appearance at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con!  Read on for all the details.

From the Press Release:
Leading independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) is thrilled to announce ten episodes of the supernatural thriller “BITTEN” will return to Syfy for a third season. Based on the best-selling series of novels by Kelley Armstrong and produced by No Equal Entertainment, eOne, and Hoodwink Entertainment, Season 3 sees the return of genre icon Laura Vandervoort (“Smallville,” Ted) as Elena Michaels; Greyston Holt (“Alcatraz,” “Durham County”) as Clayton Danvers; Greg Byrk (A History Of Violence, “Rookie Blue”) as Jeremy Danvers; Steve Lund (“Being Erica,” “Haven”) as Nick Sorrentino; and Genelle Williams (“Warehouse 13”) as Rachel Sutton.

Production will begin this summer in Toronto. As previously announced, “BITTEN” Season 3 was also picked up by Bell Media’s Space in Canada, where Seasons 1 and 2 were the most watched Space original program of all time.

“We’re delighted that ‘Bitten’ will be returning to Syfy,” said John Morayniss, Chief Executive Officer, Entertainment One Television. “Alongside No Equal Entertainment and Hoodwink Entertainment, we are thrilled to continue this incredible journey and looking forward to sinking our teeth into what’s sure to be another nail-biting season.”

Chris Regina, SVP Program Strategy at Syfy and Chiller, commented: “‘Bitten’s’ emotional and engrossing storyline, combined with some truly creepy horror moments, really resonated with fans this past season. We eagerly anticipate seeing where the next chapter of Elena and her werewolf pack’s lives leads us in Season 3.”

“I’m excited to continue ‘Bitten’s’ success with a pickup of our third season by Syfy and look forward to working with the talented writing and production team to bring more adventures with our pack to life,” said J.B. Sugar, Executive Producer, No Equal Entertainment.

Ep. 347 Smile 2: “The Tale of Schmorgashbords, Part 1”
Ket tells Kim about the highly requested and truly terrifying Smile 2. This left Ketryn truly shooketh and gave The Substance a run for its money in grotesque-ness. It was simply a smorgasbord of gore and the first time in podcast history that Ket is the one who can’t quite say a word. Stay tuned for part 2 to find out what type of pants Kim needs for this one.Writer/Dir. Episode 268: Mind Body Spirit Filmmkers Alex Henes and Matt Merenda and The Brave Little Toaster (1987)
This week we're joined by Alex Henes and Matt Merenda, the filmmakers behind the yoga-horror found footage film Mind Body Spirit, which is available on demand and streaming on Shudder and AMC+. We chat about Sarah J. Bartholomew's fantastic performance, the script and more before diving into their childhoods and their very different reactions to horror as a kid. Then we chat about The Brave Little Toaster and how it destroyed all four of our childhoods. Anthropomorphic appliances, self-cannibalism, religion...this movie has it all and we laugh our way through describing just how messed up it actually is.
