Patrick Wilson Posts Conjuring 2 Photo on Twitter
Although The Conjuring 2 won’t terrify audiences until next year, it’s never too early to start promoting the flick on social media. Patrick Wilson, who is returning for the sequel with co-star Vera Farmiga, shared a photo from the set of the follow-up on Twitter. He also tagged director James Wan, who is stepping away from big-budget fare like Furious Seven and Aquaman to lens the film.
“We’re baaaaaack,” Wilson captioned the pic.
The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist follows Ed and Lorraine Warren (Wilson and Varmiga) as they investigate a series of supernatural events surrounding the four children of Margaret Hodgson. Not only did the kids witness their toys moving around on their own, they watched in horror as various items throughout their house seemed to take on a life all their own.
“The Warrens’ determined that the events were not caused by a haunted house, but instead was caused by spirits attached to the children,” Moviepilot recently explained.
Although we know the sequel is based on this event, Warner Bros. hasn’t released an official synopsis as of this writing. The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist will attempt to scare up a ton of box-office business when it hits theaters on June 10, 2016.
