#SDCC15: More Hellboy III Chatter from Ron Perlman

As we told you a few days ago, Hellboy star Ron Perlman has been posting hints about a possible third film in the franchise to tie up all the loose ends, and today at the San Diego Comic-Con during the panel for Amazon’s “Hand of God” series, in which Perlman stars, he elaborated on things a bit.

Per Deadline, Perlman told the crowd at SDCC: “If there’s a real honesty to fan culture relationships, we owe the world the finale of Hellboy. We set up the whole film. It’s a deal we made [with the fans]. I don’t want to do Hellboy IV or V. I want to finish the fucking trilogy!”

Perlman said that after his social media postings, he had to “call studio executives to apologize,” adding that there’s been some talk with the franchise’s director, Guillermo del Toro, but nothing concrete. Perlman’s goals for the finale of Hellboy III would find the titular character becoming the beast of the Apocalypse so that he can vanquish his foe and become the darker character he is destined to be.

We’ll have more as it comes!
