Have you ever wanted to watch a real exorcism from the comfort of your living room? If so, Destination America would love for you to check out their upcoming special “Exorcism Live!” For the first time since 1971, a real exorcism will unfold live on television. The upcoming special will film at the St. Louis home where the events that inspired The Exorcist took place.

The Tennessee Wraith Chasers, who appear on the Destination America series “Ghost Asylum,” will join forces with psychic medium Chip Coffey to explore the insanely creepy tale that inspired the classic book. At some point during the show, someone will attempt to exorcise the spirits that supposedly dwell in the suburban home. Only time will tell if anything seriously spooky goes down.

According to Entertainment Weekly, “This exorcism in particular will take place 66 years after one of several were performed on Roland Doe in 1949 at the St. Louis house.”

Unfortunately for folks hoping to get a taste of a real exorcism this summer, Destination America’s “Exorcism Live!” won’t hit the digital airwaves until this October. In the meantime, you could always watch the plethora of exorcism-related movies that are currently available on just about every major streaming service on the market. Alternatively, you can dig through the bowels of YouTube in search of supposed “real” exorcism footage. That should keep you busy for months.
