#SDCC15: Trailer Released for Call of Duty: Black Ops III – ‘The Giant’ Zombies Bonus Map

The “Nazi Zombies” mode is the only reason I’ve bought a Call of Duty game since Call of Duty: Black Ops. It’s pretty obvious that Treyarch realizes that a lot of fans are lining up just for the mode that originally started as a fun Easter egg. It has become a larger and larger part of the package in each new installment. While at the core a bunch of arcade-y fun, objectives, win conditions, and storylines have grown it into a franchise all its own. So it’s no surprise that one of the big collector’s edition’s selling points (a staple in every CoD game) is extra zombie content.

From the Press Release:
Zombies returns in all of its undead glory with “The Giant,” a Nazi research facility featuring the weapon upgrading Pack-A-Punch Machine. Re-live the chaos of Treyarch’s classic “Der Riese” Zombies map, picking up the Zombies story with Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen, and Takeo where Origins left off.

So fans of the Black Ops 2 zombie storyline will want to pre-order the “Hardened” or “Digital Delux” editions of the game, as the loot-filled “Juggernog” edition has already sold out. Those of you who don’t want to pony up the extra cash upfront will still be able to enjoy the “Shadows of Evil” mode, the new 1940’s take on the zombie formula. No word yet on if you will be able to pick it up individually, but I’d be willing to bet it will be nestled somewhere inside one of those $15 content packs.
