Behold the Red Dragon in these Images and Preview of Hannibal Episode 3.08

“Hannibal” is about to tackle the storyline fans of Thomas Harris’ book series – and the movies based on it – have been waiting for: The Tooth Fairy, portrayed so memorably by both Ralph Fiennes and Tom Noonan in the films Red Dragon (2002) and Manhunter (1986), respectively.

Now, beginning with next week’s Episode 3.08, “Behold the Red Dragon,” The Hobbit star Richard Armitage dons the mantle of Francis Dolarhyde as the NBC series jumps ahead three years. Check out a dozen and a half stills plus a preview for a sneak peek, and if you want even more, watch the “Post Mortem” of Episode 3.07, in which Caroline Dhavernas and Katharine Isabelle dish on their characters’ romance to Scott Thompson.

THE GREAT RED DRAGON RISES — Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) has been under lock and key for three years at the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, when a new villain arises in Francis Dolarhyde (guest star Richard Armitage), also known as “The Tooth Fairy.” As the investigation unfolds, Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) approaches Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) to help catch this vicious serial killer who is targeting families.

Caroline Dhavernas, Aaron Abrams, and Scott Thompson also star; Nina Arianda and Raul Esparza also guest star.
